Our Defenders' Charm originates from one I made for my boyfriend, now husband, Devin, then a member of the
Pennsylvania ARMY National Guard. I gave it to him shortly
before he was deployed in February of 2003 to Afghanistan
to wear on his dog tags so he would always know I was
and still am by his side. During his deployment I
found a jeweler to make the charm in quantity so I could sell it
and use the profits to help our deployed defenders. In April of
2004, after fourteen long months, Devin came home. Now that
he is home I continue the sale of Our Defenders' Charm to
continue to help our defenders both at home and overseas.
Many ask: What is the significance of the design? At first it was
simply something that developed through thoughts of love and
support of Devin. But during the time he was gone its meaning
became more prominent. I finally know the significance of the
three points: Belief, Strength and Support.
Wear this charm to show you believe in our defenders,
you stand strong by their sides, and you support them completely.
